Main Character Analysis

 The Vlogger

Hello again! Today's blog will be in line with recent themes, analyzing contents of our film. For this post, I will be looking at the main protagonist, the vlogger, including his physical appearance, characterization, and their significance to the character.

Costume

Edison gives off ordinary high-school vibes, having a outgoing personality and a teenage-like figure. This way, casual clothing, including a T-shirt, jeans, and jacket, fit into his character seamlessly. The casual outfit is not a lack of creativity. Rather, we did this on purpose to make him appear as a normal student to the audience, even creating a similarity connection between him and our teenage audience. Finally, we also created his outfit like this to make a vivid contrast between him and the antagonist, who will be dressed in a full-black, intimidating Grim Reaper costume.

Props

Props are used to complete Edison's character. He holds a flashlight to shine his way into the forest, as well as scan for things in the landscape. It signifies the suspense, showing that he is searching restlessly in the unknown, not realizing the dangers he could encounter. We also added a backpack, EMF device, and a lantern to help his adventure in the woods, highlighting his expedition. Most importantly, he will have a camera in frame to signify his vlogger status, using it to show his vlogger followers his exploration.

Psychology

Edison's overall character in real life - one full of excitement, enthusiasm, and energy - makes him an ideal actor for this main protagonist role. He is also a naturally adventurous man, frequently willing to go on drives to new locations and have a fun time at any time. This can relay directly into his film character. They both have similar psychological states, willing to explore despite any cautionaries that apply. Edison has a mentality where he is always thrilled to try new things, and this blends with his character who is enjoying his time in a new location.
