 Remaking the Story...Again

Welcome back, everyone! Recently, we made plenty of changes to our movie's plotline and script, meaning it is only right to remake our storyboard. During our second day of shooting, we made some pretty drastic changes including the entire vlogger concept and we even added an extra in the film, so it is imperative to reflect all these shot changes in our storyboard. Almost every shot and camera angle changed due to the removal of POV shots, so I will reflect this in the new storyboard:

The largest change stemmed from the movie characters. We initially had problems with the vlogger concept because it became complicated to express this idea without confusing the audience between what camera shots are part of diegetic and non-diegetic. We eliminated the vlogger concept, smoothing out the characters to be just two friends exploring the woods. 

Another change came from the introduction of a new character. They were used as a dead person, having no lines but just their physical (dead) presence. We used this idea as a replacement for the old "torn shirt" as it brought a lot more suspense and shock to our audience and characters alike. This wasn't planned, but it worked out for the better.

The black figure also has new movements. Originally, the figure was supposed to lurk behind the characters, making slight appearances. After reviewing the clips, we changed this to provide him with more screen time, and gave him jerking movements to make him seem intimidating. He also disappears rater than move around, heightening the suspense.

Finally' the running scene was changed to be faster and more chaotic. It was originally just a walking vlogger feeling like he is being watched, but now we have the protagonist running away from the figure, using handheld shots to reflect the shakiness and deteriorating mental state.

Now, we are reviewing our scenes and hoping everything came out ideal. However, we may have to re-record some scenes due to lack of audio quality and other problems. I'll keep you guys updated!
