Switching Things Up

 Changes and Fixes

Welcome back, followers! Today is possibly the most important of all my blog posts yet. This is because I will be discussing the immense changes we have made to our final project to improve it. We are proud of these changes as it clearly reflects our unanimous ability to brainstorm and problem solve, strengthening our team bond and overall project.

Roles

The most impactful change is our switch up in roles. While the movie characters will all remain the same, we are rearranging who will play which character. The vlogger and protagonist will now be played by Rayyan (formerly Edison), and the Grim Reaper (formerly Rayyan) will now be played by Edison, a direct swap. This was because Rayyan needs his glasses to see, and the glasses become an obstacle when wearing the Grim Reaper mask. Further, Rayyan has significantly better voice projection than Edison, and this would prove to be beneficial for our movie, especially since the protagonist will have the most voice lines in the film. Further, a secondary swap will be between the friend ( formerly Ahmad/me) and the cameraman (formerly Eugene). Though not fully confirmed like the prior switch, we are very likely to swap given that Rayyan and I have a natural bond outside of filming, so it would be realistic for me to be his cameraman so we can relay this relationship easily in the film.

Time

Another change being made is the time for our film. Originally, we were opting to begin filming around 6-6:30, since it is completely dark around this time. However, due to multiple struggles with availability, we found that filming at an earlier time would be best for all of our daily schedules. This change will now be towards the 4 PM margin, a time that is easily open for all of us. It also offers us better natural lighting to work with while still producing shadows in the forest to keep the eerie feeling. This cuts down our HUGE issue with lighting.
